A Saturday in San Francisco

We went to San Francisco on Saturday without a plan and it turned out much better than expected.

We started with a delicious breakfast at Pat’s Cafe. We went to the lovely San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park and then watched people kite surf in the rain at Ocean Beach. We took a drive through the Presidio of San Francisco and gazed at the Golden Gate Bridge. We stumbled upon Fort Point National Historic Site where we learned some history and took in the views. We made our way to Ghirardelli Square while looking in awe at some incredible houses. We ate some sundaes, drank some hot chocolate, and filled bags with chocolate squares. We finished the day in Chinatown for dinner at Capital Restaurant (get the Salt and Pepper Fried Chicken Wings) and some walking.

We learned of some more spots we’d like to explore so this is to be continued.
