Amicalola State Park in Georgia

Amicalola Falls State Park is home to a 729 foot waterfall that is stunning and unique.
You can hike from bottom to top, top to bottom, or you can take a super cool halfway, accessible trail {pro-tip.}

The park has a lodge, as well as cabin rentals and a zip lining course. Oh and bears, you’ll probably see bears!! However, Amicalola is probably most famous for being the launching point for many on the Appalachian Trail. It is 8 miles from the official southern terminus of Springer Mountain. Here’s a link to an interactive map of the trails 2180+ miles.
