Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant

There are very few times that we’ve visited the mountains without stopping by the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant. Our first visit was actually on our honeymoon in 1989. We didn’t know then, but the roots of this business dates all the way back to 1776.

One thing that impressed us this time was the HUGE amount of food that you actually receive for the price of an entree. It looked liked the average price of the entrees were around $22 in the fall of 2024. For that price you get apple fritters, juice, and apple butter as soon as you arrive. Then comes a soup of your choice, then your entree, followed by a dessert of your choice – which they will happily package for you to go if you can’t eat another bite! Everyone in our group chose the desserts to go and they made a lovely late-night snack at the cabin. Everyone was pleased with their meal and the service was wonderful as well.
