Around Downtown McKinney

We had been interested in visiting McKinney for a while so we were very excited when we got an invitation to a wedding there. We had heard of the charm that downtown McKinney boasts and it did not disappoint. We spent a rainy day exploring and were shocked to see how many people were still out and about. It seemed the locals love their town enough that they were willing to brave heavy rain to be at their favorite coffee shops, restaurants, and shops.

We had coffee at Collective Coffee and lunch at Cadillac Pizza – we for sure recommend both.

We spent a few hours making our way around the square. Boutiques, art galleries, antiques, bookstores, even an over-the-top pink candy store – there’s no lack of shopping here! Some spots that stood out to us were Local Yocal, Fair and Square Imports, and Doozie’s Corner.

You could easily spend a day or two here walking, shopping, and eating. On top of everything it felt very safe. It would make for a great girls trip!

We LOVED our cozy Airbnb near downtown too!
