The Ashley Inn, Charleston
The Ashley Inn was a great base for our Charleston adventures! We arrived at the charming house on a Friday afternoon. Parking was off-street which we love. Check-in was as simple as typing in a custom code on the door. There are eight suites within the building. Ours was on the second floor and included a comfy king bed, a sofa bed, a bathroom with a rain shower head, a mini fridge with water, a Nespresso machine with pods and creamer, two flatscreen TV’s, and a very lovely veranda.
The veranda overlooked the quiet Bee Street and church at the Medical University of South Carolina. This is where we spent our mornings and nights. The veranda was semi-private – the floor was shared with the guests in the suite next to ours and could be separated with a curtain. The people next to us were very kind and quiet so this was no issue!
Located on the corner of Ashley and Bee, the inn was a short drive from the shops, restaurants, and iconic spots downtown. There are some restaurants within walking distance and the rental also comes with bikes! There is complementary grab-n-go breakfast in the lobby every morning made by a local bagel shop – our bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich was great! Complementary snacks and drinks can also always be found in the inviting lobby.
Aside from our suite feeling a little toasty (the heat index was 104 during our stay so that was a factor), we couldn’t recommend The Ashley Inn enough. It was very clean, relaxing, accommodating, and safe.
We’d love to hear if you have stayed here!
