Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum
The Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum is one of the best museums I have ever been to.
It is located inside a historical building across from the Copper Queen Mine Tour. One thing about Bisbee, you can generally park downtown and walk anywhere you need to go! The mine tour is very affordable and has multiple levels and rooms. The museum has excellent information about the town’s history and how it became the largest town between St. Louis and San Francisco during its copper explosion in the early 1900s.
The museum houses some of the best mineral specimens I have ever seen, and as a geology nerd, I was blown away. The museum is great for kids, with many hands-on activities and interactive options to keep them entertained. As you depart the museum, stop in at the gift shop to see local art and books by local authors.
