Brown-Pusey House

Built three brick deep in 1825 by John Y. Hill, using an on-site kiln, the Brown-Pusey House stands strong today as a community hub for social activity.

For its first one hundred years the house hosted notable visitors from General Custer to Jenny Lind and many in between, thanks to the famous Aunt Beck everyone was accommodated and fed.

After that era, the house was preserved and expanded by the Pusey brothers and donated to the community as a social venue.

Home each summer to Tavern in the Garden and a stop along the Charles W. Logsdon Historic Downtown Elizabethtown Walking Tour, Brown-Pusey is open Tuesday-Saturday from 2-4 for touring. Give them a call for complete info, 270-765-2515.
