Cave City Distilling

If you’ve had a taste of Mammoth Cave Bourbon and appreciate the award-winning distilling that Balance Distilling is now known for, we’ve got news for you! Since we first spoke with Luke Jean at the end of 2024, Balance Distilling has opened a sister location – Cave City Distilling. This is Cave City’s first distillery and a great companion to the existing tasting rooms in town. The opening has put Cave City on the map as a location where you can experience the Kentucky trifecta – bourbon, caves, and horses.

What makes this distillery unique is that they not only produce bourbon, but also gin, moonshine, and Kentucky’s only rum. On-site, they have artisanal cheeses and ready-to-eat food items. If you’re coming off of I-65, you won’t have to go very far. They’re just a half-mile from the exit.

Cave City Distilling is open now. If you’re looking to experience Kentucky’s top 3, easily add on a horseback ride at Jesse James Riding Stables and a tour of Onyx Cave. Of course, the beautiful Mammoth Cave National Park is just minutes away. Happy tasting!
