Cowtown Coliseum

The highlight of our Texas road trip? A rodeo at the famous Cowtown Coliseum! Truth be told, we were a little on the fence about going at first – but after feeling the energy of the Fort Worth Stockyards, we knew we couldn’t miss it.

Tip: We found better rates at the ticket booth there than online!

The show was packed with excitement: pyrotechnics, bareback horse riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and even interactive events for kids.

Our favorite moment was the patriotic display during the national anthem. The flag was raced around the arena on horseback by an impressive cowgirl, and it was incredible.

If we’re lucky enough to return to Cowtown Coliseum, we’d love to go on a Thursday evening when the entire night is dedicated to bull riding. If you’re visiting Fort Worth, don’t make the mistake of skipping the rodeo like we almost did – it’s an unforgettable experience.
