Dining at the Grand Hotel

Dining is a pleasure and experience at Grand Hotel! After 6 p.m. at Grand Hotel there is a dress code. Its suits or blazers and ties for the gentlemen and dresses or pantsuits for the ladies. We really enjoyed the experience of “dressing for dinner” – and walking in to the Grand Hotels main dining room is an experience on to itself! A 5-course meal and impeccable service await you. The food was amazing.
In addition to the Main Dining Room, Grand Hotel also offers ‘The Jockey Club” right next door on the Grand Hotel’s golf course, as well as the newly renovated “Gate House” for burgers/lunch – this is the perfect spot before the short walk down the hill to Mackinac Islands charming and historic downtown. The Grand even has a “Detroit style” pizza offering and an Ice Cream Parlor! Everything we sampled was unique, crafted and world class.
Music is a big part of dining and culture at Grand Hotel. A typical night consists of piano during dinner and in the bars, a Harpist after dinner with coffee service, and a full Orchestra to dance to by 9 p.m. Outstanding.
BTW: the hotel house coffee is out of this world. Set up every morning for success.
