Estes Park

We went to Estes Park, Colorado for less than 24 hours but we could’ve spent days there.
Estes Park is a gateway town to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is picturesque and feels historic. We were there in early October while the Aspens were bright yellow and beautiful.
We drove by the historic Stanley Hotel where Steven King’s The Shining was filmed. We actually didn’t know this was in Estes Park so it was a fun little surprise.
For dinner we dined at Lonigan’s Irish Pub. We were so hungry and wolfed our food down so fast that we didn’t get any pictures but it definitely hit the spot. It is located right on their downtown strip where we walked around after dinner. There are souvenir stores, ice cream parlors, chocolate shops, and plenty of food and drink options. There is a trolley that runs here which made the vibes even that much better.
We stayed in an Amberwood cabin. It was lovely. The bathroom was incredibly nice, the bed was comfortable, and all was clean.
The following day we went on to have breakfast at Coffee on the Rocks and made our way through Rocky Mountain National Park.
