Garden of the Gods

In 1909, Charles Perkins‘ children, knowing their father’s feeling for the Garden of the Gods, conveyed his 480 acres to the City of Colorado Springs. You can see the majestic red rocks for miles before reaching the park. The sandstone rock formations pop against the brilliant blue skies.
Admission is free and parking is a challenge, be patient. If you prefer to have a guide and be driven through the park, there are several commercial tours.
There are nice, easy walks with several paved paths and lots of photo ops.
