Gaylord Opryland Resort Holiday Lights & Village

One of the few places on earth where you can feel completely immersed in the spirit and wonder of Christmas and the Holiday Season, Gaylord Opryland Resort from early November through the first few days of the New Year is a magical place. If you love the Holiday season or if you are trying to jump start yourself into the Spirit, you need to spend a weekend at Gaylord Opryland. From the jaw dropping lobby to throwing your balcony doors open in your room, you will know the magic of the season…and that’s just the inside. For the first night and a full overview of the property, we would recommend  taking a “riverboat” ride around the resort to really get the sense of scale and note every section you want to visit.  

Outside the Resort, you will find a Christmas Village that will allow you the fun of tubing, ice skating, bumper cars, and carriage rides through acres of lights. It’s also where you will find the ICE show, along with hot chocolate, food trucks, and more. Oh, and the shopping, too…with a massive Christmas Store to get lost in for hours.

I promise you and your kids will be using your phones JUST to capture memories via the cameras…the Internet will take a backseat for once and you will have a shot at making some family holiday memories to last a lifetime.

If you have been to Gaylord Opryland Resort in years past and think you have “been there, done that”, think again. Lyssa and I stayed here for a weekend 25 years ago, early in our marriage and before we started our family. The place has nearly tripled in size since then, including a world class waterpark and more dining and shopping and entertainment options than ever before. We were thunderstruck by it all.
