Hardin County Historical Museum

It’s lovely when a stop can give you the “lay of the land” as it pertains to the history and relevance of a community. For Etown, this place is the Hardin County History Museum.

Want to learn more about Abraham Lincoln‘s ties to the community? Interested in Fort Knox? Want to learn more about Coca-Cola’s history in Elizabethtown? You’ll find it all there, and so much more.

This former library turned museum is open Tuesday-Saturday for free self-guided tours. Their hours are 10-2 and they are located in Etown’s easily walkable downtown at 201 W. Dixie Avenue.
