La Bodeguita De Mima
La Bodeguita De Mima is a lively Cuban restaurant in the NULU neighborhood of Louisville that truly transports you to another place and time – 1950’s Havana. Their matriarch was not only an excellent cook, but also a beauty that performed at the famed Tropicana Club where she fell in love with their patriarch. Later a homemade raft brought them from Cuba to the coast of Key West, where their American dream began.
Let’s start with the tips, always grab a reservation and always wrap up the night with their chocolate cigar – based on our time with them, whatever you do in between will be a good decision. This rum bar and restaurant combo has continued their family traditions through flavors and atmosphere to create a special experience for all who visit.
Our team has been here a couple of times as we have become quick fans of the NULU vibe. We also recommend grabbing some accommodations and enjoying some shopping in their eclectic mix of local shops as well. If you time your visit right, you can also grab some candy at Muth’s Candies.
La Bodeguita De Mima is located at 725 E Market St, Louisville, KY
