Leon’s Oyster Shop

Leon’s Oyster Shop is on all the lists of places to eat in Charleston and was personally recommended to us. We had to see what all the hype was about! It took us a few tries but we did it and we get it. It is SO good.

Leon’s doesn’t take reservations for parties under six and it is a popular place so it was a little hard to get into, but on an extra hot and stormy Sunday evening we snagged a table.

For an appetizer, we did the hushpuppies. We liked the sweet butter they came with. For mains, we of course had the char-grilled oysters that were nice and parmesany, a grilled chicken sandwich, and some famous fried chicken sandwiches. Everything was great, but the fried chicken sandwich made us understand the hype of Leon’s! It was the best chicken sandwich of our lives thus far!

The storms nixed our after dinner plans so we stayed for some delicious chocolate milkshakes. Leon’s is a 10/10 and high recommend for us!
