Live Harness Racing

Visiting Oak Grove was our first time ever seeing live harness racing. The track is very different from what we were used to with thoroughbred racing – it is worked with harrows. We enjoyed watching the horses warm-up. The jockeys were friendly and talked to us as they trotted by during their workouts. Oak Grove Racing offers on-site betting as well as simulcast betting where you can watch and wager on live racing from various locations.

Their racing season is from March to July 15th. There are some notable events coming up! On May 11th, the track has corgi races and May 25th they have weiner dog races. So fun!

We wagered and lost but still had an enjoyable day at the track.
