Mahone Bay Museum

Did you know that the land Mahone Bay sits on was occupied and honored by the indigenous Mi’kmaq peoples for over 10,000 years? Did you know about Mahone Bay’s extensive shipbuilding history? What about the stories of rum-running in the area? If not, it sounds like you could use a trip to the Mahone Bay Museum. For a small building, there is a ton of history packed into it! There is an archival collection with documents and photographs, art on loan from other province museums, onsite genealogical information, beautiful historical Bibles, and more. However, one of the coolest parts is the miniature Mahone Bay made entirely out of Legos! We spent about an hour here and would suggest allotting the same.
