Mill Valley

When in Mill Valley, start your day at Shoreline Coffee for a locally sourced breakfast! Alice’s Special was just enough to fuel us, but also, left room for what was next – The Depot Café and Bookstore. Order your coffee and a cheese Danish, and browse the books while you wait. After you devour your Cheese Danish (because you will) walk around and admire this sweet little town. There are so many little shops, you are tucked in the mountains, and we were there on a Sunday so there were dogs all over the place, it was lovely.

Traverse the Panoramic Highway through Muir Woods and Mt. Tamalpais to Highway 1. We had never really heard anyone talk about this area and were shocked because this was one of the most beautiful places we had ever been through! As we started out of Mill Valley, we climbed up into the mountains, discovering incredible houses along the way. The forest that we went through was so lush! There is a parking lot across from the Mountain Home Inn where we stopped and took in the views from both sides. On the parking lot side, you get forest and ocean views. On the side of the inn, you get crazy views of the bay.

We loved this part of the Bay!
