Mingo Falls

One hundred and twenty feet of rushing, crashing, falling water made a beautiful site after stairs and stairs and stairs. Seriously, it was just 161 stairs – but those steps do have the ¼ mile trail rated as moderate in difficulty. Mingo Falls is in the Qualla Boundary—a land trust of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. No special permits are required for access to the area.

We love a good waterfall, and this one was certainly worth the climb!
