Mountain Mama Lodge
The Mountain Mama Lodge on the North Umpqua River was the perfect place to enjoy 24-hours in Umpqua National Forest. The place was filled with personalized details, the host was very responsive and had great recommendations, and it was cozy! It is a sleepover-style stay. There are two queen beds and two pull-out couches in one room, which actually made it really fun!
It is in an ultra-rural area and our closest food source was the gas station down the hill so we grabbed some goods for the night there. After dinner, we cozied up around the firepit outside for some s’mores that our host provided with the essentials for. This is also where we gathered before sunrise the next morning for coffee with the sounds of the river in the background. The ultimate peaceful morning.
Upon the hosts recommendation, we ventured to the Umpqua Hot Springs for sunrise. You can read about that here. Afterward, we took advantage of Mountain Mama’s spa-like outdoor shower. It was no surprise that we loved it!
We wish we would’ve stayed here longer and highly recommend it!
