O’Bannon Woods State Park

Take 2400 acres of woods along the Ohio River, build in an impressive trail system, pristine aquatic center, camping, and one of the most interesting little nature centers you’ve ever seen – combine it with Indiana karstland and you have O’Bannon Woods State Park.

We didn’t have enough time on our road trip to do it all, no one ever does, right? But we did hit the trails, enjoy the gardens of the nature center and swim in the pool at the aquatic center. We cannot say enough about the quality and cleanliness of the pools and grounds. The park staff do an impressive job.

Wyandotte Caves Recreation Area is also a part of this park, all inside the Harrison Crawford State Forest. The Blue River of Indiana flows through this park and offers paddling opportunities as well.
