Oconaluftee Visitor Center

The Oconaluftee Visitor Center was the classic National Park Service visitor experience. Extremely knowledgeable staff, many resources for your visit, a great selection of informational books in their bookstore and fun souvenirs as well.

The highlight of their exhibits is a three dimensional relief map of the entire Park. There was also a demonstration on broom making while we were there by the Park’s interpretational staff.
