Paddle to 300 Springs Waterfall

One of the most beautiful paddling opportunities in all the land is the stretch of Green River from Lynn Camp Launch to Rio Park in Hart County, Kentucky. This 9.5 mile adventure takes you past 300 Springs, a waterfall that is only accessible by boat.

While there are small motor boats that can make this journey, it is our high recommendation that you paddle it out – like the pioneers.

Lynn Camp Launch is owned and operated by Fred Wells. Fred is one of the kindest, most thoughtful rivermen we’ve ever met. He knows the river. He focuses on safety above all and he will help you with all the things: boat rentals, lifejackets, launch fees, and livery service if needed. Fred’s cell number is (270) 537-4727, and don’t be surprised if you have to leave a message and let him call you back because cell service in those parts is thin at times.

A paddle on this section of the river takes about six hours on average. We recommend a dry bag for your camera and phone. It’s also best to have plenty of snacks and drinks on hand. Don’t forget  the sunscreen, a hat, and a first aid kit just in case!

Here’s a link that will take you to more information on this section of river, that is part of Hart County’s Blueway on the Green.
