Pizzas of Sacramento
We have pizza more than we would like to admit. Sometimes we make it at home, and sometimes we go out. If you’re road-tripping near Sacramento and feeling like pizza we gotchu. Here are some of our favorite pizza spots in Sac.
OneSpeed Pizza
First up is OneSpeed Pizza in East Sac. OneSpeed pizza is insanely good, but the fries…to die for. They have a large menu with rotating specials so if you want more than just pizza, this is the place to go. Plus, they have vegan options. Our typical order here would be a Margherita pizza, a Calzone, and an order of fries. It is quite a large amount of food for 2 people, but it also insures you have lunch for the next day. We have also had our eyes on the desserts and focaccia so if you try those, let us know how they are.
Luigi’s Pizza Parlor
Luigi’s has a really cool story that we definitely suggest you read about here. It is coined as the oldest pizza parlor in Sacramento and is located in Oak Park. The vibe of Luigi’s is probably our favorite part about it. You can watch them make pizza from the sidewalk outside, they have an arcade and a neon sign. You get the picture, it’s a vibe. If you’re into crispier pizza and garlic bread made with focaccia, this is the place for you. They also have a sandwich menu.
Giovanni’s Old World New York Pizzeria
Last, but most certainly not least, is Giovanni’s. The quality and flavor of this pizza…no words. Everything is housemade so you do have to wait for it, but it is so worth it. We are convinced that we would be happy just eating the crust of the pizza because the flavor is so good but we typically get a Primavera and an Italian Meat Pie. We have only been to the East Sac location, but they are also in Land Park.
We definitely have not been to every pizza spot in Sacramento. These are just the ones that we have tried and really enjoyed. If you have one in the area that you really love, please let us know so we can give it a try!
Thanks for being here and happy travels!
