Rebel Hen Cafe

Just to come right out and say it…Rebel Hen is our favorite cafe of all time. The quality cannot be beat. Both the food items and coffee are top notch every time – and we have tested that so many times. Meal, baked good, and coffee menus change with the seasons but there are some staples that are always around because they’re so loved. As far as the ones that we love – the Mother Clucker sandwich is our #1, but the Jersey Giant Burrito and Maran Benedict are also great. Something cool is that they do smaller versions of some of their food items, which is great if you’re looking for something lighter or you’re bringing the kiddos. For pastries, the cookie butter croissant, raspberry chocolate muffin, and brown butter chocolate chip cookie are what we’re grabbing. And the coffee! We haven’t experience a coffee shop that is this consistent with the quality of their drinks. They use locally roasted beans from Remedy Supply Co. and their syrups are house-made. Our go-to’s are the Forest Elixir, Shakerato, and classic cappuccino. Really no matter what you order, it’s going to be a win.

The main dining room here is small, but they do have additional seating in the back and outside. Don’t expect “fast food” – it is a scratch kitchen and is worth the wait. Whether you’re looking to sit down for a meal or to linger with a fantastic coffee, Rebel Hen is an ideal stop in Lincoln, California. Absolutely worth a detour.

Pro-tip: pair it with a yoga class upstairs at Divinity Studio or have a look around the shops nearby.
