Riscky’s Steakhouse
When visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards, we dined at Riscky’s Steakhouse. Several locals recommended it to us, one expressing that they loved the famous Calf Fries (if you’re not familiar, we’ll let you look that one up!). We weren’t sure at first, but figured if there was ever a time to try them, it was in Texas.
So to Riscky’s we went!
We started with the Calf Fries appetizer, and to our surprise, they were actually tasty and very fried. From there, we shared the Cowboy Bone-In Ribeye with Honey Glazed Pecan Carrots, Southwestern Roasted Corn, and loaded Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Sharing was a great option for us here. It was a great amount of food, all was delicious, and we loved that they brought bread to the table, as well. The standout for us, though, was the Southern Roasted Corn – yum!
Riscky’s has been serving up meals since the 1920s, and after dining there, it’s easy to see why it’s still a Stockyards staple. Whether you’re adventurous enough to try the Calf Fries or just looking for a solid Texas steakhouse experience, Riscky’s is a spot worth keeping in mind.
