Shopping & Eating in Aruba
No vacation is complete without walking around the local shops perusing the knick-knacks and buying something plastered with the vacation location proudly on display. While there are the typical indoor shops to walk through, the real local flavor exists in the huts and farmers-market style booths in the city centers. These are typically centered around pockets of dining options, which is quite convenient when shopping and food is your love language! Most restaurants only offer outside covered seating to take advantage of the island’s atmosphere. Our three must-visits are Kalin’s Mexican Cuisine, which offers the best Birria tacos we’ve ever tasted, Lucca Modern Trattoria Rustic Soul, a delicious Italian restaurant, and the Dutch Pancakehouse, which serves Poffertjes, a Dutch style silver dollar pancake that you can customize with toppings. Our family loved the poffertjes so much we ate here twice in three days!
