The Teazer

You’ll find this locally owned gift shop in the HOT PINK building that sits right downtown. In fact, it’s one of the country’s oldest gift shops and has been in business since the ‘50s! The selection inside truly captures the essence of not only Mahone Bay, but Nova Scotia. Amid dishware and soft pj selections are locally made, all-natural products from lavender shampoos and hand soaps to artisan sea salts and spices. There’s also a fabulous corner dedicated to children’s toys and clothing, complete with smiling stuffed hockey pucks (this couldn’t get more Canadian honestly), a section for the lobster obsessed, tons of local art, fabulous maritime cookbooks, fun tongue-in-cheek cards and cocktail napkins, and keepsakes dedicated to The Curse of Oak Island as the real, tree (and maybe treasure) covered Oak Island is just miles away.
