You have to be intending to go to Green County to be there because it really isn’t on the way anywhere. No interstate or parkway runs through it, just state highways and the beloved Green River of Kentucky.
With all that being said, there are some places that are truly worth making it a destination of their own, including one of only a hand full of drive-in theatres in the state. If rural road trips sound good to you, consider Green County. It is truly one of Kentucky’s off the beaten path communities.
