Journals / Kentucky / Hart County: A Rural Oasis

Hart County is a unique rural oasis in south-central Kentucky – divided into quadrants by Interstate 65 which runs north to south – and the Green River which runs east to west. Positioned between Louisville and Nashville, this land of rolling, green, rural hills is nestled in the stunning Kentucky caves and caverns region and borders Mammoth Cave National Park, an International Biosphere and World Heritage Site. We’ve had many exciting adventures here, from traversing the world’s longest underground bridge to having amazing animal encounters to exploring the Amish-owned businesses. It is the Outdoor Adventure Capital of Kentucky!
