Henderson, Kentucky

Henderson grew up along the banks of the Ohio River and offers a charming blend of historic architecture, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions.

The historic downtown features a variety of locally-owned shops and restaurants. Downtown is also where the not-to-be-missed W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival happens each year.

Henderson is home to the John James Audubon State Park, which includes a museum celebrating the renowned naturalist. And, also on the banks of the Ohio in Henderson you will find Ellis Park – a favorite Kentucky horse racing track since 1922.
