Henderson grew up along the banks of the Ohio River and offers a charming blend of historic architecture, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions.

Henderson is home to the John James Audubon State Park, which includes a museum celebrating the renowned naturalist. And, also on the banks of the Ohio in Henderson you will find Ellis Park – a favorite Kentucky horse racing track since 1922.
