Newburgh, Indiana
We enjoyed a Saturday morning in Newburgh with brunch overlooking the Ohio River. The balcony where we ate waffles and delicious breakfast tacos, is now the location of a restaurant that no longer exists.
Some may think it a waste of journal space to document a place that no one can go, but isn’t that part of the allure of travel? To experience things while you can, in places while they exist, among people while they are alive. The shared experience is often why we wander. And Newburgh sure is a nice place for that.
We enjoyed shopping in this quaint little river town and reading the historical placards sharing their history with us. The Newburgh Mercantile was a wonderful little shop that lured us in with a porch full of plant starts and a friendly pup.
We enjoyed the park views of the Ohio and our drive along the river as well. Our new favorite spot to eat in Newburgh is currently Tin Fish and we promise photos to come!
