Journals / California / Joshua Tree
Located at the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park, the town of Joshua Tree is a fun desert stop. The surrounding national park is known for its iconic Joshua trees, dramatic rock formations, and desert cacti – all set beneath some of the best stargazing skies in the country.
In town, you’ll find everything from delicious bites and Western-style saloons to locally roasted coffee and quite the vintage scene.
Unique lodging is part of the appeal here, too. During our honeymoon road trip, we actually stayed in an Airstream and it was the perfect basecamp for exploring the park and soaking up the desert vibes.
