Journals / Louisiana / New Orleans: Carousel Bars, Jazz Brunches, & Haunted Mansions

New Orleans has an eclectic, vibrant vibe all of it’s own. It is the birthplace of jazz which means the soulful tune of a saxophone is often the soundtrack of your explorations through the city. The French Quarter is abundant with Cajun eateries, music venues, voodoo shops, horse drawn carriages, and history. Bourbon Street, a row of lively bars, can also be found in the French Quarter. There are an abundance of tours offered in the city – those of the beautiful antebellum mansions of the Garden District, historic graveyard tours, swamp tours, ghost tours, carriage tours, food tours, the list goes on. The city houses impressive museums, such as the World War II Museum. And don’t forget about Mardi Gras! We recommend the New Orleans City Pass if you are wanting to see and do a lot while visiting because there really is so much. New Orleans is somehow classy, yet weird, and really just such a fun place to be. Have a beignet and a Hurricane cocktail for us while you’re there!
