Journals / Pennsylvania / Pittsburgh
We can’t say that we were particularly excited to go to learn we’d be traveling to Pittsburgh for a wedding. It’s not a city we had heard much about when it comes to travel destinations. Upon arrival…we wondered why. The city is historic city is set into hills covered with dense, green trees, and the culture felt rich. Museums, rivers converging, old warehouse districts transformed into shops and cafes, a strong sense of community pride – we were smitten. With just two days in between wedding activities, we weren’t sure how we would fit everything in that we wanted to do. Dive into the encounters to find what we discovered with our time. Our biggest takeaway? Don’t write off Pittsburgh when making travel plans! We would happily return.
