Journals / California / San Diego
San Diego, we adore you. When it comes to big cities, it’s hard to imagine one better than this. Full of energy, yet nice and laid-back.
From scenic coastlines and lively nightlife to world-class dining, iconic attractions like the San Diego Zoo, sea lions lounging on the shore, and stunning hikes – this city truly has it all, including our hearts.
When we visit, we stay at the Navy Lodge on North Island. For military families, it’s an absolute gem – private beachfront rooms right on Coronado Island. It’s exactly where we want to wake up.
One tip: whether you’re road-tripping in or flying and renting a car, having your own set of wheels is a good idea. San Diego is spread out, and there’s just too much to explore to stay in one spot.
