Tombstone, Arizona is known as the town of “Too Tough To Die” by truly stepping back in time to the wild western days. Established in 1879 by Ed Schieffelin during the silver boom while out prospecting in “dangerous” territory of the apaches and was told that he would only find his “tombstone” by prospecting in those hills. Known for its 1881 gunfight at the O.K. Corral with Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp and other cowboys it remains as a historic town preserving its rich old western history. If you visit on the weekends you are likely to come across a donkey parade on main street with the locals dressed up in 1880’s western apparel. Today, it is primarily a tourist attraction showcasing the historic courthouse, a silvermine tour, the world’s largest rose bush, ghost tours, historic tours, and visiting the local shops and eating at the historic saloons or taverns.
