Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park

We were blown away by the beauty and layers of history at Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park.  From prehistory to the last battle of the Revolutionary War, there are many surprising elements to this quaint park in Carlisle, Kentucky. 

Inside the Pioneer Museum you’ll find mastodon fossils, along with Native American, Kentucky pioneer, and Revolutionary War artifacts. Plus, did you know that the “waters” of Blue Lick were once sought after for their believed healing properties?  Yep, that’s part of the history there as well.

This park makes a great summer destination with trails, mini golf, disc golf, a pool, lodge, cottages, camping, and restaurant.
