Capitola Village

Capitola Village is a coastal town just south of Santa Cruz. It is full of beachside shops, restaurants, and activities. Picture boutiques, a state beach, Margaritaville, and even an arcade. It’s got that sunny, slightly touristy energy that can be fun.

We popped into a few of the local shops before heading to Mr. Toot’s Coffeehouse, a cozy second-story coffee shop. The staff were incredibly kind, and the vibe was warm and welcoming.

We grabbed a couple of danishes and found a spot at the bar overlooking the water and the village’s famously colorful buildings – a postcard view. If you can snag one of the outdoor tables, even better.
