Journey Downtown

Journey Downtown in Vacaville was the perfect first stop for us in Solano County. We went for coffee but quickly realized that this was much more than a coffee shop. Journey Coffee’s cafe is housed in an old theater that has been revitalized. In the front “theater lobby” is where the cafe operates and in the back is where the 450 seat theater hosts performances and parties. The theater theme is tastefully found throughout the cafe.
Journey Downtown also encompasses the old public library next door, too. It has been turned into a craft cocktail bar and kitchen with a speakeasy vibe. It looks amazing and we would love to return to try it.
The reason this was the perfect first stop for us was actually because of the employees, Heather and Sasha. They were so kind and welcoming and gave great recommendations, not only in town, but for a large chunk of Northern California. We thankfully have added a few must-see locations to our list.
We had a seasonal latte with orange and cocoa and a cold brew. We didn’t get the chance to try their food, but again, we would love to return here!
