Kenlake State Resort Park

Stepping into the lodge at Kenlake State Resort Park is like stepping back in time in the best way. It is decked out in fabulous mid-century decor. The vibe remains in the restaurant where there is a pool table and dart board – don’t forget to pack your quarters so you can rack up a set of pool balls while waiting for your food.
Located on the west side of Kentucky Lake, you can rent jet skis and pontoons to take to the water. We hear there’s excellent birding at this state park. For the rainy days, you can enjoy an indoor tennis court and retro game room!
Kenlake State Park is the location of Kentucky’s only state park developed for African Americans, Cherokee State Park. The park closed and merged with Kenlake. Portions of the park still remain and are used to host reunions and events throughout the year.
If mid-century is your vibe, Kenlake is a must-stop!
