Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

The original village at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park was built to house those that worked to build the Kentucky dam. Many remnants of the era still exist at the state park. Kentucky Dam Village is home to what is known as the “granddaddy” of the Kentucky State Park golf courses. Eagles are common in this area so when out on the beach, the trails, or enjoying the 160,000 acres of lake, keep an eye out.
The lodge and marina are center pieces of this park. We love that the lodge has three resident turtles so don’t forget to stop and say “hi” when you’re in the lobby.
The restaurant here was absolutely delicious. Having breakfast and watching the sun rise over Kentucky Lake was the best way to start the day.
It is worth noting that this state park is right across the water from Land Between the Lakes. There are many activities to check out in the area such as the planetarium at the LBL visitor center and bison viewing.
Happy travels!
