Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center

We didn’t know about the Conservation Center until our new friends at Andy D’s told us that we just couldn’t leave Navarre without visiting. We’ve found that usually when locals are that excited about something, it’s always a good idea.

At the Center we met Sweet Pea, an injured loggerhead sea turtle. Her injuries prevent her from living in the wild again, which gives visitors the opportunity to meet her up close and watch her swim while hearing her story. There are several types of turtles that also live at the Center, their presence helping to tell the important stories of conservation efforts. The many aquariums were beautiful to see, the exhibits very informative, and the staff were so excited about the animals and conservation efforts they champion.
