Nolin Lake State Park

Nolin Lake State Park is a great place to connect with nature. A campground, a beach, a boat ramp, and a trail system that takes you to waterfalls and lake views – all of that can be found at this central Kentucky state park.
The campground at Nolin has 32 sites with water and electricity, 40 primitive sites, and includes 3 accessible sites.
Pack your cooler and put on your sunscreen! Some of our team has spent many summer days lounging on the beach and swimming in the water here. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to know when the beach is open for the season.
If you’re a lover of boating or fishing, Nolin is a great place to be! There is a boat ramp at the park where you can hit the water to fish for bass, walleye, catfish, and crappie.
This state park is home to the beloved Brier Creek Trail System. The miles of trails here can be hiked and mountain biked. The most popular trail is the Waterfall Loop and for good reason! It is beautiful.
Pro-tip: Don’t forget to bring your hammock when visiting!
Whether you want to camp with lake views, have a beach day, take to the water, go fishing, have a picnic, or hit the trails, Nolin Lake State Park is a road trip to put on your list. You will have worked up an appetite after visiting, we suggest trying the nearby Blue Holler Cafe!
