The Point Market

The Point Market was hands-down our favorite part of visiting Santa Cruz.
That might sound odd – it’s just a little neighborhood store – but hear us out. Located in the Pleasure Point area of Santa Cruz, right across from the sparkling blue ocean and tucked among coastal cottages, The Point Market is a vibe. When we arrived on a Friday morning, there was a Volkswagen van and a few motorcycles parked out front, surfers coming and going.
We came for the burritos – what they’re known for – and boy oh boy, they did not disappoint. The burrito menu is extensive, with both breakfast and lunch options. We went with The Barrel and the breakfast version of The Cali, both with red salsa. Let’s just say we’ll be thinking about those burritos for a very long time – SO delicious.
Inside, the market has a solid variety of goodies – coffee, honey, baked goods, plus the usual general store finds like chips, candy, and drinks. And while burritos steal the show, the menu has more to offer: French toast, burgers, and smoothies for example.
After devouring our burritos and grabbing a bag of locally roasted coffee, we walked across the street and spent at least half an hour watching surfers ride the waves.
If we return to Santa Cruz, we’re definitely planning to explore more of the Pleasure Point area.
If you’re visiting, DO NOT miss a burrito from The Point Market. Trust us.
