Mercer County is located in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region. It is rich with history – the county seat of Harrodsburg was Kentucky’s first permanent settlement and, today, its historic downtown boasts shops and spots to eat and drink. Mercer is also home to Fort Harrod State Park, Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, and the historic Beaumont Inn. Nature can be explored on the Salt River and miles of trails at the Shaker Village. There is a growing vineyard scene here, too.
The historic area with its natural beauty and southern hospitality is sure to make for a memorable trip.
